About the Author

Andrew Farley

pastor, national radio host, and bestselling author

For thirty years, Andrew Farley has been challenging religious assumptions, untangling confusing Bible passages, and helping people move from pressure, fear, and spiritual performance into the freedom of God’s grace. His books are known for being clear, provocative, practical, and refreshingly honest.

He also hosts a national live call-in program on SiriusXM, where people bring their hardest questions about God, grace, sin, salvation, identity, and the Christian life. Andrew’s approach is simple: take the question seriously, take Scripture seriously, and don’t make things more complicated than they need to be.

Before entering full-time ministry, Andrew earned a Ph.D. in linguistics and taught at the university level. That background sharpened his love for words, context, and careful interpretation. His goal is always to make profound biblical truth understandable, engaging, and freeing for everyone.

That same approach drives The Impossible Teachings of Jesus. Andrew doesn’t soften Jesus’ impossible teachings, explain them away, or turn them into a self-improvement plan. Instead, he asks the question at the heart of the book:

What if the impossibility is the point? And what if that’s exactly what makes grace such good news?
